Each drawer is independantly insulated from fire protecting closed drawers if a drawer is left open. The underwriter's laboratories (U. L.) test The underwriter's laboratories (U. L.) test the product by heating it up to 1700 degrees (most fires reach 800 degrees) over the course of an hour then cooling it over several days. The interior temperature must remain at or below 125 degrees.
