The file cabinets come in a variety of basic colors to blend in well at any office. But much more importantly they are constructed using the latest techniques in fire insulation and impact resistance - assuring protection from fires up to 1700 degrees and falls up to 30 feet. With the U. L. impact resistance rating the file drawers will not open from the impact of falling debrisbeams or a fall up to 30 feet thus protecting the vital contents within the filing cabinets. Each drawer is independantly insulated from fire protecting closed drawers if a drawer is left open. The underwriter's laboratories (U. L.) test the product by heating it up to 1700 degrees (most fires reach 800 degrees) over the course of an hour then cooling it over several days. The interior temperature must remain at or below 125 degrees. This product meets or exceeds all tests for heat and impact resistance. In the event the filing cabinet falls through a floor or is knocked by support beams the drawers will not jar open.Shipping options:Residential- Delivery to a residential address with inside delivery to a ground floor location orelevator accessible location.
